What is Ad Fontem?
Ad Fontem is a Discord bot that monitors YouTube links and automatically identifies original content sources. When someone shares a reaction video or repost, the bot analyzes the video description to find and share attribution to the original creator. Built with Bun and TypeScript.
The bot uses regex patterns and optional AI (Ollama) to detect original content attribution in video descriptions and replies with links to the source material.
Why did I build it?
I built Ad Fontem to support original content creators and help communities discover the source material behind reaction videos. The bot helps combat content theft by promoting proper attribution.
Also, I quite dislike reaction content as it is recently.
